California Dreamin’ in Alyssaland

Have I mentioned that I LOVE the beach? Given that right now I prefer this morning’s crappy sprinkles over this heavy downpour I am humming The Mamas and the Papas.

Memorial Day weekend, 2010 I spent twelve hours at the beach near San Clemente Pier.

    Ahhhhhh…..the beach such a peaceful place. My husband was actually born in San Clemente but he moved to Oregon when he was five. He still has family in the Dana Point area that we try to visit once a year.

    You remind me of my days in Southern California. We worked 4 10-hr workdays. My day off was Wednesdays and I’d go into Long Beach in the morning, have breakfast on 2nd St in Belmont Shore. Then go have an late morning cigar with my friend Gigi. It was a nice little routine to start each Wednesday.
